My Story

My name is Daniel. I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and raised in Oregon since the age of two. Growing up, I was shaped by strong family values rooted in hard work, respect, and perseverance. Values that continue to guide both my personal life and professional path today.

I have been a Sheriffs Deputy since early 2018, and my background also includes private security work dating back to 2010. Serving others, staying disciplined, and operating with integrity have always been central to who I am.

 

Alongside that career, I opened the door to an entirely different world. The world of art. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion and a new way of seeing the world. The journey started with an Iwata airbrush, expanded into photography, and eventually evolved into the journey of mastering laser engraving. Each step added a new layer of creativity, technical skill, and appreciation for craftsmanship.

 

With approximately 14 years of experience in art, design, photography and paired with hands-on knowledge of engraving technology, I decided to combine these worlds into one. That decision led to the creation of ThisPen Customs and Photography. A business built on precision, creativity, and meaning.

Every piece I create is influenced by my background, my service, and my belief that details matter. Whether through a camera lens, an airbrush, or an engraving machine, my goal is always the same... to create work that tells a story and leaves a lasting impression.
